Did Someone Say Pearlescent Paper??

There have been many fellow Demonstrators that I have shown how to create pearlescent paper using regular card stock.   I have watched many videos, but unfortunately, didn't note anyone's name.  I say this because I am absolutely not going to take full credit for this technique or the gorgeous result that comes with it.

That is one of the coolest benefits of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - you get to belong to an amazing group of people that have amazing talent and creativity!

I seem to be really enjoying layers lately and the Sea & Shell Suite Collection allows me to do just that!

I love the stickers that are a part of the suite, but I admittedly did not know how I would use them.  So, the lightbulb went off and I realized they would be perfect for the back of an envelope as a little something extra.

If you would like to watch how I made the pearlescent effect on the card stock, watch the video below:

Is it too early for a Valentine's Day card?

Loving the adorable Snailed It Suite!  I know it may be a little early for a Valentine's Day card, but I couldn't help myself.  I saw this Designer Series Paper in the Blushing Bride and Real Red colors and immediately thought - Valentine's Day!

Lots of dimension with this project.

A Wish For Everything Cling Stamp set gave me the sentiment for my card.  It's funny, I rarely think to use the stamp set, but always find exactly what I am looking for when I open the case!

A Simple Hello

I needed a simple card with a simple sentiment and voila', here it is.  I CASE'd this beauty from www. scrapgore.de (sorry, I don't speak German, so I couldn't find the demo's name).  I made my card using the Notecard set.  Unfortunately, Whisper White has been discontinued, but replaced with a Basic White.  As soon as I receive mine, I will show everyone a comparison.

I decided to try out my new Blending Brushes - a total game changer!!  Check in later this week and watch my 'how to' video where I use the brush to give an awesome look to just plain card stock.

I have mentioned before that I am not a big whimsical stamp fan, but this suite is quickly becoming my favorite.  Look how cute the mushrooms are - and as a bonus - the coordinating dies make it super easy to cut out.

Perhaps this set brings me back about 30 years when I made my first Buche de Noel.  Fortunately, this card required  significantly less work!

Today is your birthday!!

The Snail Mail Suite Collection is the bomb!!  I am so pleased with how this card turned out for my adorable 4 year old niece.

I don't usually purchase stamps that are whimsical, but I knew I had to have this one!

The ombre designer series paper that I used for the card front came from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  And, you guessed it, it was FREE!

If you would like to learn how to get items for FREE, let me know.  I would love to share with you how this is the exact time you would want to make a purchase from Stampin' Up! or better yet, JOIN ME!

Lots of dimension is achieved here with dimensionals, mini dimensionals and foam adhesive sheets.

Even though the Envelope Punch Board is retired (I can't seem to part with it!), I used the board to make a cute coordinating envelope.

Hope she likes it!!
