Peek-a-boo!

I am having so much fun with the Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick Bundles! The crazy haired chick just makes me giggle.

I CASE'd this card from a 2017 posting by Linda Callahan.  While, at that time, a wood grain DSP was available, I had to improvise.  So I swiped some Pool Party and Sahara Sand ink on the Pinewood Plank 3D Embossing Folder and ran a piece of Pool Party card stock through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss and what came out was exactly what I was looking for!

In an effort to use up some retired embellishments, I stuck some Holiday crystals to this card.

No matter how old we are, it is always nice to be told you are a 'spring chicken'!

2 for Tuesday

Today I am sharing not one, but TWO cards with you!  These are two cards that are similar, in that they have stamps from the same sets.

First, we have our hey, chick! card - could be used as a Valentine's Day card for a friend, or just someone you want to know how much you care.

The stamp and dies that are used are partially available, but will completely be available on February 1st.

In this card, I am using the adorable, quirky bird from the Hey Chick Cling Stamp Set, that was introduced back  in 2017 and has now returned!

What will be available on February 1st for this stamp set, are coordinating dies.  So, if you still have the stamp set in your collection and would like coordinating dies - you won't have to wait for long!  Lucky for you - the Hey Chick Cling Set will also be available again with the dies.  As usual, if the stamps and dies are purchased together - there is a 10% savings.

Card #2 is 3½" x 5" and uses the Hey Birthday Chick Cling Stamp Set that is available in the January-June Mini Catalog that is live right now through February 28th.

I swapped out the balloon that is at the end of the chick with the heart die from Wreath Builder.

I am not sure why, but this little card just makes me smile!

The sentiment on the inside of the card is also taken from Arrange a Wreath Photopolymer Stamp Set.  This will make a great card for a friend or co-worker.

Did Someone Say Pearlescent Paper??

There have been many fellow Demonstrators that I have shown how to create pearlescent paper using regular card stock.   I have watched many videos, but unfortunately, didn't note anyone's name.  I say this because I am absolutely not going to take full credit for this technique or the gorgeous result that comes with it.

That is one of the coolest benefits of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - you get to belong to an amazing group of people that have amazing talent and creativity!

I seem to be really enjoying layers lately and the Sea & Shell Suite Collection allows me to do just that!

I love the stickers that are a part of the suite, but I admittedly did not know how I would use them.  So, the lightbulb went off and I realized they would be perfect for the back of an envelope as a little something extra.

If you would like to watch how I made the pearlescent effect on the card stock, watch the video below:
